They blocked off the streets to have DJ's, breakdance performances, sumo suit wrestling, human chess, tons of food and drinks like Vitamin water! There were movies in the Quad (our grassy area in the middle of campus) and lot's of games, fiesta lunches and scavenger hunts.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghF7XmdXhY_gopQup8O9mlIVeQhxeYqQ0q6fB_34fqCfCjn1J9MSx_05rwTBEiRoIOScMkkiEJu-p2bd6PUG2sAb-VnIGwcEQ-ijMpXzGukoMdKuTxP37_aKRJjEQpenFciWcBcHK2CX1u/s1600-h/IMG_0042.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghF7XmdXhY_gopQup8O9mlIVeQhxeYqQ0q6fB_34fqCfCjn1J9MSx_05rwTBEiRoIOScMkkiEJu-p2bd6PUG2sAb-VnIGwcEQ-ijMpXzGukoMdKuTxP37_aKRJjEQpenFciWcBcHK2CX1u/s320/IMG_0042.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241966844899499426" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiki3H06syjNIVpFHySqkf2nHF5mZkJhQpmNXMY_7s5rxZz6vyBkdAX73t5fYFSIqBgnaQOuxLO5JboxtyuqdN2pJDyGGIZGR9nFFNNvhHihvxWRsbQQ4Jtec0g6g9soUG0KCBbn-whlbF-/s1600-h/IMG_0043.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiki3H06syjNIVpFHySqkf2nHF5mZkJhQpmNXMY_7s5rxZz6vyBkdAX73t5fYFSIqBgnaQOuxLO5JboxtyuqdN2pJDyGGIZGR9nFFNNvhHihvxWRsbQQ4Jtec0g6g9soUG0KCBbn-whlbF-/s320/IMG_0043.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241966851264766962" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip177ebFVCX_Y_ZkJE5hR-KzBq0G2J-cXUXrvNPnQzLx9OwY-BJixcJ6djeoyjub_t33DE0BymC4gTka2Fh4TuR9fr7PkCq-iBH9dg8QP8v2Z-lvBBV_wjwNroywbZj9V6ecXxoRLkK49V/s1600-h/IMG_0044.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip177ebFVCX_Y_ZkJE5hR-KzBq0G2J-cXUXrvNPnQzLx9OwY-BJixcJ6djeoyjub_t33DE0BymC4gTka2Fh4TuR9fr7PkCq-iBH9dg8QP8v2Z-lvBBV_wjwNroywbZj9V6ecXxoRLkK49V/s320/IMG_0044.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241966854107574066" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA74lsNKbIT0m7ouABy4lhRcrOiKXi06OAI5x8Ii56LzFbdeIQr5XqfBbzRxLV6P9XbzX_kSz1YX1pzwGZ2y9qNMAPJZ_NrKr-Tu9golW3UjNFNhTYXNMGf-U9R8OE-0YcxkDE8bsutzM3/s1600-h/IMG_0046.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA74lsNKbIT0m7ouABy4lhRcrOiKXi06OAI5x8Ii56LzFbdeIQr5XqfBbzRxLV6P9XbzX_kSz1YX1pzwGZ2y9qNMAPJZ_NrKr-Tu9golW3UjNFNhTYXNMGf-U9R8OE-0YcxkDE8bsutzM3/s320/IMG_0046.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241966857752509570" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDu7wBTziMLo1-0lVull6jd-W8YDV0JZ3Ci82vxIHcTRMYjrl41d2xvnyhs1LPs8uzalPWbmwCZ6IvgPKR4Ckg9xdBNGLBRrt0pkURgKYDVBIn9M-jYYKsCZ5IvZ55UwaKPIq66d3lU8Em/s1600-h/IMG_0047.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDu7wBTziMLo1-0lVull6jd-W8YDV0JZ3Ci82vxIHcTRMYjrl41d2xvnyhs1LPs8uzalPWbmwCZ6IvgPKR4Ckg9xdBNGLBRrt0pkURgKYDVBIn9M-jYYKsCZ5IvZ55UwaKPIq66d3lU8Em/s320/IMG_0047.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241966868245112738" border="0" /></a><br />So that was the Guinness World Record for largest sword fight. We all had to leave the Quad and then walk through those turn table things so we could be counted. We had to have 480 people to beat the record, and we made it! MTV and Much Music and random news people and photographers were there. Check out this link someone sent me, I'm at the end. I picked the worst day to wear a hat and no makeup. I look like a man, but here it is: http://news.therecord.com/videogallery/405714<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXdTxwlkWuDtPoLYOfKcaVAPK-4EEMVlRYZlCpXH_TEY8A2iwTFSAdsk_lMuAx4vteslwSg6utcKYuUSMzfIcjP8-4E-UgmkWFzJvyVu9iKotKW2vjR1RLldx4io95DAU87Y4gTaN36pDe/s1600-h/IMG_9214.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXdTxwlkWuDtPoLYOfKcaVAPK-4EEMVlRYZlCpXH_TEY8A2iwTFSAdsk_lMuAx4vteslwSg6utcKYuUSMzfIcjP8-4E-UgmkWFzJvyVu9iKotKW2vjR1RLldx4io95DAU87Y4gTaN36pDe/s320/IMG_9214.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241969370662554930" border="0" /></a>So this was my group at the Fiesta Lunch. Sam, Claudia and I went at lunch time so we got thrown in like a random engineering group. We felt kind of awkward being the only white people... am I in Edgemont again?<br /><br />Anyway, so orientation week was cool. This week still has tons of events. My school is cool in the way that is so accepting of everyone... we have SO many groups people can join. There is a Muslim group, Campus for Christ which invites all religions to become closer to God, different Asian groups, Gay Pride groups, Urban Hip Hop Union, Cheerleading, Leadership, Community Service and Volunteer groups, a Real Estate group and lot's more. There have just been tons of events going on... but yeah all in all it's been fun! This Friday everyone skips classes (I don't have class!) to parade down to the Toronto Islands where there is a big festival and Supreme Soul from America's Best Dance Crew will be there and a surprise singer or something. AND I got some tickets to the Toronto International Film Festival! I'm SO pumped. I'm going to a screening of Passchendaele which was shot in Calgary and I know 2 people in it! Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Rachel McAdams, Dakota Fanning, Kiera Knightly, P. Diddy and lot's more celebs are on the hit list to be here! So expect some celeb stocker blogging in the next couple of weeks!!<br /><br /></div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-29240720382107654162008-09-03T14:20:00.000-07:002008-09-03T13:29:20.764-07:00So apparantly I live in Toronto...I guess I have been living here almost 2 weeks. How crazy is that? Anyway, here are some much awaited pictures. Sadly, I have yet to use my 40d, and don't really have much for photo editing on this laptop, but I figure any pictures are better than no pictures at all! In fact a bunch of these are from my iPhone so I apologize for the quality!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_EvqxK1DDUsSbK5Fice_VYMLqs72eeRBZTjT2tgHn4KsK3GbFDa6fpUUowSaDeYUZhcAYy7G5borZgzldGv0gPdM8_efJ5V8j_Wtt98dBWTS_afc-Tr0EHKuzH0yJRAz0Sn8mcvx7P86-/s1600-h/IMG_9216.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_EvqxK1DDUsSbK5Fice_VYMLqs72eeRBZTjT2tgHn4KsK3GbFDa6fpUUowSaDeYUZhcAYy7G5borZgzldGv0gPdM8_efJ5V8j_Wtt98dBWTS_afc-Tr0EHKuzH0yJRAz0Sn8mcvx7P86-/s320/IMG_9216.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241878431009074962" border="0" /></a>This is of course me being a goof. Lately my flash on my point and shoot has been acting weird, and not working.... so I tend to practice lot's with my self portraits!<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-d1KuY5fTZ-AZyfPAZAzA2tBBkum6lbC9BQbh-KYisyZul5KWnFoLhXuAfltzPlUb4iya_TWMtDMJXuWuhtF72XziRUw9stYjb_FzmAMy0GaRtWG9DxHiIOvv_Gwyfcex6hNk0oLuUq9S/s1600-h/IMG_9199.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-d1KuY5fTZ-AZyfPAZAzA2tBBkum6lbC9BQbh-KYisyZul5KWnFoLhXuAfltzPlUb4iya_TWMtDMJXuWuhtF72XziRUw9stYjb_FzmAMy0GaRtWG9DxHiIOvv_Gwyfcex6hNk0oLuUq9S/s320/IMG_9199.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241883155646120162" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS1ySk-0Y47LVXLViG00mYhiGN7T1Y8Td2HetIULWY6oRTyLz7ET-LtnAX-osl5fJ6njo6H82mqa8sgOIQoIdbSz2EpkEThIHJXF24PlpwQTjwfj4ZbCh2NVxwdoS12oj7pg_HvDUXQQIM/s1600-h/IMG_9197.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS1ySk-0Y47LVXLViG00mYhiGN7T1Y8Td2HetIULWY6oRTyLz7ET-LtnAX-osl5fJ6njo6H82mqa8sgOIQoIdbSz2EpkEThIHJXF24PlpwQTjwfj4ZbCh2NVxwdoS12oj7pg_HvDUXQQIM/s320/IMG_9197.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241883552108451842" border="0" /></a>This was my Mom and I at dinner one night while she was here with me in Toronto. And my campus is RIGHT behind this. Just to name a few stores inside this mall - Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Lululemon, Apple, Sephora, Mexx, Zara, Gap, Forever 21, H&M (4 floors), Banana Republic, Old Navy, Urban Outfitters...oh yeah and about 25 Starbucks! (Drink suggestion: Grande blended lemonade with 4 pumps of melon) But yeah, this mall pretty much has it covered.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUwwUT1Soi1NltGqrFRFFV_UuGXBALiC9Q9IA0R4LIM_kPgtcrJV7J4oSv_3qhM_GI5Xts4kSjpaJAbiCNKyuCoqkVj8mRTmGu1w3gOJnX5W0SB5iZs-LnAxuGX06vrljmotaOYbFPrb-H/s1600-h/IMG_9213.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUwwUT1Soi1NltGqrFRFFV_UuGXBALiC9Q9IA0R4LIM_kPgtcrJV7J4oSv_3qhM_GI5Xts4kSjpaJAbiCNKyuCoqkVj8mRTmGu1w3gOJnX5W0SB5iZs-LnAxuGX06vrljmotaOYbFPrb-H/s320/IMG_9213.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241887161139597746" border="0" /></a>So I thought this was pretty rad. It's a cart escalator. So you put your cart in it and then you go up in the escalator beside it and then you meet your cart at the top! How cool is that?<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP4TFLWrdO671eE3aXZ7NCtX7yWrULE1pWFtWgXulvwHinLU6_sC-wYBEukheKidBTPI98hFVh5EshhAZQeNqXp3JbFnSLZHvSok_9HCUIXQIbyL6F6e7G5tlk2MSwM8rwDw-Z5yxkx4lz/s1600-h/IMG_9227.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP4TFLWrdO671eE3aXZ7NCtX7yWrULE1pWFtWgXulvwHinLU6_sC-wYBEukheKidBTPI98hFVh5EshhAZQeNqXp3JbFnSLZHvSok_9HCUIXQIbyL6F6e7G5tlk2MSwM8rwDw-Z5yxkx4lz/s320/IMG_9227.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241889097916021106" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKmKl_mlNs0aBeeu3Uboo_CtOjkhI0uJJU5iXU7vja1BpYwt4N7qF70UlEXWDTbTwWMDzxMN5b76-dSPiDAaQ9tBeL5QKom5nz57aYU6_MiA7fTAiHfIT_I9WMHzp5DTK4WxPjx73Qo1CF/s1600-h/IMG_9228.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKmKl_mlNs0aBeeu3Uboo_CtOjkhI0uJJU5iXU7vja1BpYwt4N7qF70UlEXWDTbTwWMDzxMN5b76-dSPiDAaQ9tBeL5QKom5nz57aYU6_MiA7fTAiHfIT_I9WMHzp5DTK4WxPjx73Qo1CF/s320/IMG_9228.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241889099733746114" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlUGZxm8qWhwM3KvxoY30SUG202wEbpk6ej2mHI_JaR2CqGcLdHplr-XFgsz9XmCQlIgG2mOv4nXe-ZNz7ftDhW6T2PSkSdiUIdCFGmdDYINPIx8CyhW8jqip-HUyp-HAwdtnDnpuBPr6_/s1600-h/IMG_9231.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlUGZxm8qWhwM3KvxoY30SUG202wEbpk6ej2mHI_JaR2CqGcLdHplr-XFgsz9XmCQlIgG2mOv4nXe-ZNz7ftDhW6T2PSkSdiUIdCFGmdDYINPIx8CyhW8jqip-HUyp-HAwdtnDnpuBPr6_/s320/IMG_9231.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241889106455733442" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX77pTxx2-yAJ7u99NB_nGO2rOXr0DsJnouuF8k2Csu8sj68SdOEsFi2yzMcdXBTjHtHZl7-iIJDS64c4RYTjGNAj9obBLxb6twmC53aZuXWYl-QToTtZRtkapWwp1cqMvgUli1qInEBtP/s1600-h/IMG_9232.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhX77pTxx2-yAJ7u99NB_nGO2rOXr0DsJnouuF8k2Csu8sj68SdOEsFi2yzMcdXBTjHtHZl7-iIJDS64c4RYTjGNAj9obBLxb6twmC53aZuXWYl-QToTtZRtkapWwp1cqMvgUli1qInEBtP/s320/IMG_9232.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241889105067208674" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJE4A10T1pD8Mn_9mvnzWrRn4q8wFWE5zZ50BZRHLYYFQgD5yNrAxYz6Y_DjFD4kQkGytnbg6vpX0RAv2IGhZXxPxrqQJ-DJxx2KJYNSGEBMtoEyBoM5t4yat2_6iLzEkV1LaXgWJ4T8I5/s1600-h/IMG_9233.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJE4A10T1pD8Mn_9mvnzWrRn4q8wFWE5zZ50BZRHLYYFQgD5yNrAxYz6Y_DjFD4kQkGytnbg6vpX0RAv2IGhZXxPxrqQJ-DJxx2KJYNSGEBMtoEyBoM5t4yat2_6iLzEkV1LaXgWJ4T8I5/s320/IMG_9233.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241889115307988258" border="0" /></a>So that's most of my place. I have a bunch more picture frames on my wall by my kitchen table and then I also have a desk with my computer and stuff, then a bathroom, big shower and a closet and hallway... but I haven't taken pictures of all that yet. Here's a good start though! Anyway, I have to go buy some teriyaki sauce because I want to make a stirfry tonight, so I'll blog again later! Miss you all!<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-28682855812507511422008-09-03T12:28:00.000-07:002008-09-03T12:41:39.112-07:00kho<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh62fGsV5Yh0JxGo3u2_JQJJiUxqSzSSvsBekih4MlCBUcBItb2eTmorSdUd-drTo5doWSdNuDBoxFiIY2ZVRX9SdJ1Mh4bPbm43g-Q5YNVC9ROHPxJMdDatcNg9DhfVpKTnBvj-UNSy9C4/s1600-h/MyGirls.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh62fGsV5Yh0JxGo3u2_JQJJiUxqSzSSvsBekih4MlCBUcBItb2eTmorSdUd-drTo5doWSdNuDBoxFiIY2ZVRX9SdJ1Mh4bPbm43g-Q5YNVC9ROHPxJMdDatcNg9DhfVpKTnBvj-UNSy9C4/s400/MyGirls.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241879714207575410" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I just wanted to once again thank my girls for everything. They really are my world and I would not be the person I am today without them. It's funny because 5 years ago if you asked me to imagine where I'd be right now and who my best friends would be... I don't know if these girls would have been my answer! I know that sounds terrible... but everything just fell into place and I'm SO happy that it turned out this way. I really think these three girls know me better than I know myself, and always seem to know what's best for me. I know that we are all apart right now, except the lucky Alana and Kaiti... but the best part is that I know the next time I see them, it will feel like nothing has changed between us. And that is what really gets me through the day. I remember a quote I heard once and it went something like this:<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">"True friends are the ones who never leave your heart, even if they leave your life for awhile. Even after years apart, you pick up with them right where you left off."<br /><br /></span>So perfect. I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm so proud of everything Kandice, Alana and Kaiti stand for and the amazing examples they are to me. I strive each and every day to be more like them, and just be a better person. I know these girls are all going to do great things in their lives, and I hope one day I will be able to make them proud. I'm just so lucky to have these girls as my best friends. I hope you girls have an amazing semester, and know that I think about you every day.... then again, how could I not when our pictures are plastered all over my wall!<br /><br />All the best. kho. i know we'll make it through.<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span></div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-38464996308696051622008-08-22T20:03:00.001-07:002008-08-22T20:31:42.362-07:00All moved in...<div style="text-align: justify;">Here is the facade that leads to the fitness center... you walk in these doors and go underground. Behind this facade is actually beautiful grass and a park! You will learn more below... and I took this picture from the internet since I haven't uploaded pictures yet!</div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/118/278515441_ace81a3ba1.jpg?v=0" style="text-decoration: none;"><img style="text-align: justify;text-decoration: underline; display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; " src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/118/278515441_ace81a3ba1.jpg?v=0" border="0" alt="" /></a><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Well unfortunately this post is going to be super lame, but I promise once I'm all moved in and settled I will be able to post some pictures.<br /></div><div> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I can't believe I am really in Toronto. It still seems like I am going to jump on the plane with my parents and go back to Calgary and this is just a vacation. Just a four year vacation....with a few trips to Calgary in between.</div><div> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Anyway, picture this. A little bit smaller version of New York. Some freeways have 12 lanes across, and there was a huge accident today on the main one... Let's just say, I will never complain about Deerfoot traffic again. There are huge billboards, lit up with different advertisements, and huge tv screens playing commercials. The buildings are tall and there are people everywhere. And not just ordinary people. You see white people, families, black people, breakdancers, nuns, homeless people (luckily not too many) and even a strange man standing on a corner screaming out random scriptures from the bible and yelling at people as they go by. (not the best way to introduce the gospel into people's lives in my opinion). There are also fountains where kids are playing, and a Starbucks on pretty much every corner. Yup, this is downtown Toronto. Now you walk about half a block and guess where you are...Ryerson University, my school! The buildings are different, some are super old and quaint and beautiful with really tall hanging trees and then there are some new beautifully designed glass buildings. But since I don't have pictures yet, I will try to create a picture in your mind.... There is a big rectangle in the middle (like the size of an elementary school field) that is all grass, and trees and a few pathways, and cute street lights and benches and there is a big building that goes all the way around this huge square. Also inside this big field is a gated off play area for the childcare center, where students learn hands on about kids and taking care of them! Kind of cool. On one side of this huge square there is a huge facade (looks like the front of a building but is really JUST the front of a building and not a while building). It is actually been there from during the war, and soldiers trained downstairs or something so they build Ryerson around it. Anyway you walk in the doors of the facade and go downstairs (underground) to see a HUGE fitness center.... squash, tennis, swimming, gym, table tennis... you name it! It's so cool! What else is cool about Ryerson? Umm... there is a huge pond with big rocks in it and it's called Lake Devo and in the winter it ices over and serves as a skating rink... that's cool. Or what about the building that is connected to Eaton Centre? I think I'd have trouble walking past H&M and Forever 21 to get to a boring class inside Eaton Centre! </div><div> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Anyway, it's pretty cool that I live so close to everything. And now to my apartment. I have a friend, her name is Sam. She is from Burlington, ON which is about 45 minutes away. She is in the Theater Production program, which is something I was super interested in after putting the show Lion King together in High School. She's awesome. Super nice, and caring and generous. Her room is wicked...it's all painted and looks so spiffy! Then I go to my room... it looks like a hostel... or more like a jail cell. Okay that sounds bad... but the floors are black and white checkered marble and then the bed frame, table and chairs and dresser are that birch veneer wood from IKEA and the desk and chair are black and white. The walls are WHITER THAN WHITE. But i've decided that in order to spice up my black and white theme I am getting everything in bright pink and green and blue. I have bright pink and green and blue picture frames, and plates, and cups, and even lucked out on a kids bedding that is the exact same colour of pink blue and green! My towels are green and then I have pink ones for a guest. I still have to get some more stuff for my room as well as food and what not, but it's getting there! It's amazing what a little colour can do. And it isn't ALL that small. I have a single bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, a round table and chairs to eat and then a good sized desk and rolly chair, a tiny kitchen with just a fridge, stove, microwave and sink. And then a bathroom with a large shower but no bath and then a little walk in closet. I guess it's more like the penthouse of a dorm...</div><div> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I also wanted to congratulate my Dad on working at his job for 35 years! We went for a big dinner in his honour lastnight, and some people had some pretty cool things to say about my Dad that's for sure! It was funny... one guy knows the district manager of the Apple Store and is going to get me a job, one lady already put me in touch with an Executive Producer of a TV show here at Rogers, and one guy wants to set me up with a graphic design student at Ryerson that he says is "tall, dark and handsome" and someone else is hooking me up with a tv... man am I ever spoiled! Also, my best friend from dance Bretonie is coming here on Thursday so I can't wait to help her get settled! AND my best friend growing up Sonja is coming this long weekend for Beach Volleyball nationals so I hope to go watch her play! AND the Toronto International Film Festival starts soon and people from my work are coming, and supposedly you CANNOT get a flight from LA now because it is just so booked!</div><div> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">So I think I have some exciting days ahead of me to blog about. And pictures too. I don't think anyone will make it this far because I realize this blog is SUPER long and boring.... except maybe Alana and maybe Kandice.... haha. Who knows! Anyway, I miss you all! I promise to get into the blogger mode once I'm settled in!</div><div> </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Signing out from Toronto.</div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-15548787975164712862008-07-29T23:45:00.000-07:002008-07-29T23:56:05.409-07:00Libby My Star!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3228/2716390938_8070bed8dc.jpg?v=0"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3228/2716390938_8070bed8dc.jpg?v=0" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3193/2716428222_d273a18717.jpg?v=0"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3193/2716428222_d273a18717.jpg?v=0" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3265/2716390930_b176a17d5a_b.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3265/2716390930_b176a17d5a_b.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3199/2693379799_363b43a53c.jpg?v=0"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3199/2693379799_363b43a53c.jpg?v=0" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3217/2716390932_2bd06353e6.jpg?v=0"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3217/2716390932_2bd06353e6.jpg?v=0" border="0" alt="" /></a>So a friend of mine was looking for a cool dance picture for a poster at the Chiropractic Health and Wealthness office where she works. She had some ideas in mind but wasn't finding what she was looking for, so she decided to ask me... being a dancer who loves to take pictures! Sadly enough, I didn't really have ANY pictures of dance! So I forced my beautiful little sister Libby to pose for me. They aren't that amazing, but I like her running man one. On top she looks like a runner, but then the bottom half shows her grace. It's like that quote "Dancers are the athlete's of God." Anyway, Libby makes my job so much easier because she is beautiful... and well... ripped! <div><br /></div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-83642070472921284382008-07-29T23:35:00.000-07:002008-07-29T23:38:40.954-07:00Happy Birthday GrandmaSo it was my Grandma's birthday a few days ago, and I was the one who picked her up and brought her to my cousin's house for dinner. Normally this is a chore to drive "all the way to Grandma's" but this time it was fun! 78 years ago my Grandma wrote into the kids section of her newspaper asking if there was anyone who wanted a pen pal. Sure enough someone wrote in, a lady with the EXACT same birthday. They have written, sent gifts and pictures, and talked on the phone... but have never met. Her pen pal was from somewhere out East but now lives in the states somewhere. I can't believe they know eachother so well, but have never met! I want to write into Oprah to get them to finally meet!!<div><br /></div><div>I love my Grandma! Anyway, that was a really random short post...</div><div><br /></div><div>until next time!</div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-72704947708062797202008-07-26T23:56:00.000-07:002008-07-27T14:58:43.318-07:00I love my friends...<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;">They are always there to hold me up... literally!</span></span></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v283/225/52/504053452/n504053452_948320_3441.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v283/225/52/504053452/n504053452_948320_3441.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Well, I know I haven't been very good with the blogging thing lately, but I promise I'm getting better than I used to be. This has been a pretty crazy week that started with my lover Kandice returning home for her 7 week break, which was super exciting for me! I also worked on a couple commercials this week, and was in another! (I will post about these as soon as people email me the pictures) Anyway, this is a post where I'm just going to blab. I had an interesting week with experiences and where I really had the chance to learn about myself and others. Earlier this week, one of my really good friends said one of the most hurtful things anyone has ever said to me. I was the most upset I have been in a long long time, and the worst part was that it came from absolutely nowhere and it was over msn - because they didn't have the courage to say it to my face. I tried to brush it off and not make a big deal about it (I hate drama and want to enjoy the rest of my summer) but my two best friends Kandice and Alana saw how upset I was about it, and helped me realize a lot. They proved to me yet again why calling them my "best friends" is an understatement, considering how special they are to me. They are willing to risk their friendship with this person because they are not happy with how I was treated. Kandice and Alana are seriously such amazing examples to me, and we have such a strong friendship. Even though our lives are busy with work and family, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to eachother because this is home and we are a family. We will always pull together in times of need. I don't know what I would have done without them this week. I also realized as much as I think everything bounces off me and that I am strong, there are still things that make me upset. You can't possibly numb yourself of things, or you aren't really living. I guess I needed a little reality check about that. I also realized that I am sometimes too nice, and people take advantage of it and walk all over me. Hmm... I learned so much from Alana and Kandice, I'm just trying to remember everything! Oh yes, I realized that talking to this person and standing up for myself and telling them how I feel is going to be one of the hardest but most rewarding things I will do. I hate the thought of possibly losing a friend, but I really hope that what I say might teach them a lesson and prevent many other people from hurting like I was. I hope in the long they will realize that I was trying to better them, and not hurt or harm them. I also realized that you should always listen to your friends and the people you care about... they are usually right. When they tell you that you are not being treated right, they know! Anyway, I just want to thank you Kandice and Alana for being the best friends anyone could ever ask for. You honestly know me better than I know myself, and you always know what is best for me. You accept me for who I am and love me unconditionally which is so amazing. You are always there for me, and I know you would do anything for me. I am sorry that I seem to always cause problems these days, and I hope one day I will be able to help you guys in return. I am so grateful for you both and I still wonder why I was so lucky to be blessed with you both in my life. Thank you for teaching me that I sometimes need to be forward and tell someone when they hurt me. I love you both so so so much, and thank you for being such great examples to me. So thank you for being the bestest friends, mentors and sisters to me.<br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">A quote that I really like from A. A. Milne (the creator of Winnie the Pooh) goes like this <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">"Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."</span></span></div><div> </div><div>Love you tons. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">kho.</span></div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-65214256241835768392008-07-10T18:53:00.000-07:002008-12-08T15:51:35.413-08:00Bon Voyage Rachel!<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_uiENsa3fIGVSEAZl2aZdy7Xrdpb9nshvewZeKaUBOVAkVzlpil_k9y5dFpgsaRGXdL3M3f-gaSt-YAY224ZI1PnMWItO1SaUhPXucrjfnacTE6ZcqwGkPXME8ZnBxQxTzVtWs0BUTK1H/s1600-h/ABC+7.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_uiENsa3fIGVSEAZl2aZdy7Xrdpb9nshvewZeKaUBOVAkVzlpil_k9y5dFpgsaRGXdL3M3f-gaSt-YAY224ZI1PnMWItO1SaUhPXucrjfnacTE6ZcqwGkPXME8ZnBxQxTzVtWs0BUTK1H/s320/ABC+7.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221574617080789266" border="0" /></a><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">That is Rachel and I at 4:30 am before heading to the airport! I look tired, but you can tell she is super excited! Libby on the other hand rolled out of bed, crashed into Rachel, hugged and said "have fun, love you" and was back to being sound asleep in a jiffy!<br /></div><br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Well, my darling sister Rachel left for Thailand monday morning. She is going there for a month with a friend (but through an organization) to volunteer and sight-see. Everyone from the western part of North America was meeting in LA to catch a flight to Singapore together. The only problem was we couldn't get Rachel an early enough flight to LA to have time to catch her next flight to Singapore, so she and her friend had to fly out a day early and spend the night in LA... alone! Already as she was leaving she was forgetting things, and just being her usual scatter-brained self, but she called when she got to LA and everything was fine except for some liquids that were in the wrong bag and got confiscated. (Of course she blamed my mother!) But need not worry, she found new UV hairspray at Victoria's Secret when she went shopping on her day in LA. (I'm jealous! I love LA). So Tuesday morning she met up with the group, I think she said there were 58 or so heading to Thailand (A few different group things once they got there). The only text I got from her was something along the lines of "Yes LA was good, now we are just waiting at the airport. Our terminal isn't all that great, but I finally found a store and bought Cosmo Girl... but I accidentally bought it in Spanish and the lady wouldn't let me return it!" ... I swear only Rachel could buy magazines in the wrong language. Anyway, they were supposed to fly direct to Singapore (13 hours and spend the night), and then to Bangkok which was a couple more and then drive to their village. It turned out that they had to refuel somewhere, and so now the flight was going to be 11 hours to Tokyo, refuel for an hour, and then 7 more to Singapore... spend the night, a few to Bangkok and then drive to the village! So the original 13 hours was now almost 19! I guess she might have time to learn how to read her spanish magazine now! We got texts along the way... most of them "Our plane is so nice, it is two floors and really colourful! It makes me happy!" and stuff... I don't think she loved it as much after 19 hours! Anyway, she finally texted us this morning, before they took away their phones saying she arrived their safely, the place is beautiful and there are really cute puppies. Only Rachel would mention puppies in a beautiful place like Thailand. Regardless, I am really happy for her venturing off to a place like this and helping out. Her and my Mom were so excited to buy toys, and soaps and gifts for the people in Thailand... she filled an entire suitcase of stuff for people there. I know this is going to be a great experience for her, especially since she is going into Nursing in the fall. And she has never travelled as much, because I always went for dance and what not... so this is going to be a blast for her!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Anyway, here are some pics of the beloved sister and I. I promise I will post pictures from my trip to Vegas, and Kandice's visit, and Stampede... but this post is dedicated to some pictures I have taken lately. I am no Heather War (yes War) or Jeffrey Palmer, but I have fun and they are always helping me by giving me photography tips and tricks, so thank you to them for being inspirations to me! Anyway... enjoy!<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos-h.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v285/213/52/23536076941/n23536076941_1066471_6875.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; Friday night I called up Alana to see if she wanted to hang out, so I picked her up and we went and parked at this place in Edgemont to see the view. We popped my trunk and sat back there just visiting and having a great talk. For those of you who don't know, I drive a Honda Element, so the trunk opens to be a kind of cool bench. People kinda smirked, laughed and gave us weird looks as they drove by, but we didn't care at all. Afterall, who doesn't think it's cool to spend Friday night in the summer sitting in a trunk looking at a view? Anyway, so then we pick up Kaiti and I had been craving a slurpee so we head up to Petro. Unfortunately the flavours were terrible and there was one called Mint which tasted like mouthwash. So I buy some candy and we decide to go somewhere else for our slurpees. We all wanted Sprite/7Up and decided we had nothing better to do than drive around until we found one. We went to about 4 or 5 before deciding to go the Seven 11 by Scrapbook Sally and Alana's old house. Who's there but Kaiti's Mom and Alexa! What a small world, and sure enough they had every flavour we wanted. We jump back in the car and decide to go to this hill on 14th Street to visit. We hadn't hung out just the three of us in awhile and it felt really good to visit. On our way to the hill I looked at my phone vibrating to see "Kandice Idaho...sad Calling" (Yes I have all my friends' american numbers entered with "...sad" at the end). And for those of you who don't know me, it's a huge deal when I actually answer! My phone is usually not with me, or on silent and I'm the first to admit I'm terrible for that. So I talk to Kandice and tell her that we wish she was with us because it would have finally been the four of us once again, and she tells me she will call me at midnight on my birthday.<br /><br />So we head to our hill and we were having a great talk about so many things. Just drinking our much awaited slurpees, and looking at the sky lit up from the many lights of our quickly growing city. Suddenly the sky really starts to light up as fireworks go off! Alana quickly says "Happy Birthday Nicole!" and we all laugh! Then my phone rings again and it was Cyndi Palmer. She said that Kandice had sent her out to pick up something for my birthday and was wondering if I might have a chance to stop by later that night. We said no problem and headed there right away before they went to bed. Puzzled at what it could be... ice cream cake, banana cream pie, flowers? ...I walk into the house, into the kitchen to see Martha Stewart aka Cyndi with some Chinese food and then I look by the fridge and see Kandice and Lauren. I screamed and just kept saying "oh my gosh oh my gosh!!" and I was on the floor with excitement and couldn't believe what I saw.<br /><br />So after the girls finish their chinese food, we drop off Alana and Kaiti. I decide to take Lauren for a little drive around town. We drove past the old Palmer home, our elementary, high school and into downtown. We took memorial home, but it was too dark to see the river and picture perfect hill with trees behind it. Then we knew we should get some sleep if we wanted to get up at a decent hour.<br /><br />I was trying not to think it was my birthday on Saturday, but moreso what we could show Lauren (Kandice's amazing roomie who has never been up to Canada) in her 24 hour visit... So the day started out with Vietnamese for lunch with Alana, Kandice, Lauren, Taylor, Brad and Paige...yum. It was also perfect because Lauren had never had Vietnamese! She had also never seen so many asians in one place! After lunch we headed for Gelato AND Bubble Tea so Lauren could have a nice taste of some of our favourite treats. After that we got ready for road trip to Banff. We took two cars out, Janel and Greg drove. I must say we had the fun car because we had fun people AND Janel had made me delicious brownies with smarties and reese's pieces on top. Our car had Me, Janel, Brad, Alana and Kaiti. And then Lauren, Kandice and Taylor were in Gregs truck.<br /><br />We took pictures down at the falls and at the Banff Springs Hotel. It was so much fun, and I'm so grateful for my friends who put up with me wanting to take so many pictures! After hundreds of pictures and a crazy hike down a steep hill, we decided it was time for dinner at Earls. Delicious. We all stuffed our faces and it was so worth it. Here are some pictures from the day... I wish I was pro at editing like Heather and Jeff, but I think my friends are so beautiful we don't need Photoshop!<br /><br />But I would just like to let everyone know that I really do have the most amazing friends ever. I was thinking about how lucky I am the whole way home, and there is no one I would have rather spent my birthday with than that group of people. They kept saying "Nicole it's your birthday so you get to pick" and I said "I just want to be with my friends and I'm happy" and it's so true. Even if we sat in a room the whole day, we would have had a blast because that's just what we do. So thank you friends for being the best ever! And now for the pictures...</div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-85983622622943585512008-03-22T08:56:00.001-07:002008-12-08T15:51:38.782-08:00<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIptb5pxkjEidiwA5DCqk7aTZQdnZof3Nv7l1UsYkhLJ8b7gZURSazUth4JL0t6_bq3d2DJo_asdZS7IIQVC2JympijIvRbLJvCXFo1jmmPx-PgwpyHmhu_Siet3GBOUbJL516WUdhEcgW/s1600-h/IMG_8224.JPG"><img style="display:block; It was scary to think I was planning possibly the next 4 years of my life. Anyway, my Dad and headed out to Toronto Wednesday night, and our flight was late, and delayed so it was super late. Plus, we lost 2 hours getting there, so the sun was coming up when we arrived! So I went to the hotel and had a nice long nap while my Dad went to say hi to some friends and co-workers at his office. I went to Ryerson which is the second most applied for University in Canada...and the programs are all pretty small - or the ones I want anyway. It's RIGHT downtown, as in squish all the buildings from U of C together and drop them in between Kensington and 17th Ave. That's Ryerson. It's handy because all of the buildings are so close together, and they also have an underground fitness center. It's has got to be about 5 or 6 underground floors of gyms, tennis courts, a pool, dance studios, ping pong, squash courts, yoga studios....everything. It was crazy. <div> </div><div>We also had the chance to go to a pretty intense interview at York University. I never knew the caliber at York, but after doing my research I was really impressed. The CEO's from the top banks in Canada are all graduates from York. (Royal Bank, CIBC, BMO, TD and HSBC I think). Also the Director of Photography from There's Something About Mary went there, as well as Rachel McAdams. The head choreographer for all of Cirque du Soleil - Debra Brown also went there. There's tons of Supreme Court judges that went to the prestigous Law School there and lot's more. The film department is crazy, they get about 1 500 applications a year, from which they chop of 500 from marks. Those next 1 000 are asked to submit a Supplementary Application with essays, long questions, resumes, reference letters etc. and all of the Faculty goes through all of them, from which they only keep 250! That's where I am...and from the 250, they interview them and choose 48. Crazy? I think so. But the interview couldn't have gone better, and I am so grateful for that. I didn't treat it like an interview, but rather just a fun chance to show a panel of people what I have done. I played them my reel, and they seemed really impressed. They also had my supplementary application right there, and referred to it, and talked about my dancing and stuff. They were super nice, and I'm just glad it went so well. The students at York seemed GREAT! They all talked about how it was a family, and one girl loves it so much she's coming to do her Master's there because she's not ready to leave yet. Some people were just normal gorgeous girls, handsome fellows, some artsy people - nothing too extreme. No one seemed to judge or care what you look like - aka I can be a bum in my sweats if I go there YAY! But they have this little lounge they call "The Couches" and they all just hang out and visit and talk. So it seemed cool. But it was a HUGE campus, and it was not downtown. So I guess both were just different.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>Here are a few pictures of my trip....<br /><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS74um9yWdgr3hm8B53YwHrwPqnEhyphenhyphenAjLnN3Fy9ucGKXD9Ns731DCoebZ20GCfOVspNXQ02IRI7RfvqlKfHF1M5K-b_wpZvbqhKGTwnMWApxGdezK5-Hz3mAT0T6-cbFKiyvYGf5Czw07Z/s1600-h/IMG_8207.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS74um9yWdgr3hm8B53YwHrwPqnEhyphenhyphenAjLnN3Fy9ucGKXD9Ns731DCoebZ20GCfOVspNXQ02IRI7RfvqlKfHF1M5K-b_wpZvbqhKGTwnMWApxGdezK5-Hz3mAT0T6-cbFKiyvYGf5Czw07Z/s320/IMG_8207.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5180600116634078242" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Here is a picture of me at the newly renovated National Ballet School where Libby went! Rachel kindly led us up the most icy, scary hill in Edworthy park i've ever seen. Sadly enough, she was the one wearing flip flops and could walk perfectly fine on the ice, and Libby and I in our runners were sliding on our butts to avoid wipeouts. Needless to say, Rachel wore the camera around her neck because for once I<span style="display: block;" id="formatbar_Buttons"><span class="on" style="display: block;" id="formatbar_JustifyFull" title="Justify Full" onmouseover="ButtonHoverOn(this);" onmouseout="ButtonHoverOff(this);" onmouseup="" onmousedown="CheckFormatting(event);FormatbarButton('richeditorframe', this, 13);ButtonMouseDown(this);"></span></span> trusted her more than me!<br /></div><div> </div><div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Here are a few of the fun pictures. We went up to this ledge that is usually empty, but this time there were two guys and a girl and the guy was playing guitar. This resulted in two things, 1. It was rather awkard for my sisters to try pose and face these musicians, and 2. However it was really nice music. Luckily they weren't weird, or smoking anything or anything! But wow I have SO much more respect for Heather and other photographers because I would change settings over and over and the pictures never seemed to turn out how I wanted! But this was probably one of the first times I have ever used my camera, so I hope I will get better with time!<br /></div><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU49NTByfwDLWHHJkAS-I7rVLawR9Xd3-guKVp9it1JgY6WD-se7fAlUloyWKfoCqdffpGj-fTWEjzqcSfsYv0KZWeQUCd1EYZM3hi5jGYsk-L8hybWwChhJHSUfyKjeE4iV09rwZx-nc2/s1600-h/Frozen+Falls.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU49NTByfwDLWHHJkAS-I7rVLawR9Xd3-guKVp9it1JgY6WD-se7fAlUloyWKfoCqdffpGj-fTWEjzqcSfsYv0KZWeQUCd1EYZM3hi5jGYsk-L8hybWwChhJHSUfyKjeE4iV09rwZx-nc2/s320/Frozen+Falls.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5176504626766231506" border="0" /></a>This first picture is of some falls that are frozen. It was unbelievably slippery standing on the ice. Rachel actually slid from the top all the way down about 100 feet until she stopped herself on a log. Take care everyone!<br /></div><div> </div><div> </div>Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-340612818399031906.post-76824013672931815802008-03-10T12:31:00.000-07:002008-03-10T12:37:42.856-07:00Bienvenue to Blogging....Hello Everyone!<br /><br />Sadly enough, I never used my "Nikkinack" blog and now it has been taken by another user! I like to be able to comment on people's blogs, and now that I don't have facebook I thought I would create a blog.<br /><br />Someone at work has been calling me Dilly, and I never knew what it was. Then they told me to look it up in the dictionary and I did. As much as it isn't true, I was very excited to have a nickname, that doesn't have anything to do with my name! (Don't get me wrong, I love Nikkinack, Shabada-bada-boom, Shabs, Nikeeshcole etc. but I wanted a non-name one!) ...so unless someone comes up with something else - Dilly is what it will be.<br /><br />I'm just at work right now, so I don't have much time to post, but hopefully in the midst of busy school portfolios, video editing and trying to balance time for friends, I will be able to post some pictures or something soon!<br /><br />Heck, if I spend even half the time blogging that I spent on Facebook all y'all bloggers are going to have some serious competition!<br /><br />Until next time....au revoir!Nicole Breannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05604933762549363119noreply@blogger.com1
